April 2026 | Earth Day Event Royal Oak Burial Park, 4673 Falaise Dr, Victoria, BC

Join us for a unique afternoon of reflection, education, and ceremony. This two-hour event offers an opportunity to explore death as a meaningful, sacred rite of passage.

We will begin in the Royal Oak chapel with refreshments and quiet connection, grounding the space around a handcrafted willow coffin—a visual and emotional anchor for the gathering. Through guided ceremony, storytelling, and symbolic offerings, we will honour grief, memory, and the deep human experience of loss.

Participants will then be invited into a modeled end-of-life ceremony, featuring insights on home death care, natural burial, and the growing range of meaningful, sustainable options available to our community. A short procession to the green burial section of Royal Oak—a hybrid cemetery—will conclude the event, offering a rare opportunity to experience a ceremonial burial walk and collective reflection.

This is an inclusive, educational event for anyone curious about deathcare practices that prioritize reverence, choice, and community participation.

NOTE: This event is accessible and can include a short drive to the ceremonial burial site. Please bring a portable chair for use at the burial grounds.

STAY TUNED FOR MORE INFORMATION.
